✍World Bank approved $202 million in additional financing for the Modern Food Storage Facilities Project to increase the storage capacity of Bangladesh’s national strategic grain reserves by 535,500 tons for 4.5 million households.
Bangladesh will be constructing five more modern food storage systems in the country in addition to the three already under construction with financing support from the World Bank to enhance the storage capacity and improve the efficiency of grain storage.
The funding is from the World Bank’s International Development Association (IDA). It provides concessional financing with a 30-year term, including a five-year grace period.

The initiative has been proposed under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) ‘Culture Spine’ project, s a pet project of Shiv Sena's Aaditya Thackeray.
Other countries including Europe and Australia have also taken similar measures to promote gender equality. Australia's Melbourne city has been using female pedestrians in their traffic lights since 2017.
✍Amazon has won approval from the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to deploy and operate its constellation of 3,236 satellites to beam affordable Internet services.
The authorization allows Amazon's 'Project Kuiper' to deliver satellite-based broadband services in the US, helping expand internet access to households and communities across the country.
Amazon will spend $10 billion on Project Kuiper.
✍The Barakah nuclear power plant is the United Arab Emirates's first nuclear power station, the first nuclear power station in the Arabian Peninsula, and the first commercial nuclear power station in the Arab World.
The Barakah plant was developed by the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) and Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO). Energy will be generated by 1,400-megawatt pressurised water reactors, designed in South Korea, called APR-1400.
It consists of four APR-1400 nuclear reactors (one completed and pending operation, three mostly completed). Total capacity is 5,600 MW which is intended to supply up to 25% of UAE's energy needs.The site is in the Gharbiya region of Abu Dhabi, on the coastline between the Persian Gulf and the E11 highway, 50 km west of Ruwais.
When completed, it will consist of four units with a total of 5,600 megawatts capacity.
